Club Log for iPhone, iPad and Android

Club Log is about working toward DXCC and the DXCC Challenge, on HF and 6m, on SSB, CW and data modes. If the question in your head when a callsign shows up is "is that a new one, or a new slot," this app is built for you.

The app will help you find new DXCCs, and fill in the band-mode slots that make up the DXCC Challenge. The Club Log app is built around DXing and gives you real time push notifications to help you succeed.

What does the Club Log app do?

Firstly, it does most of what you see on the clublog.org web site, but it does it natively on your phone or tablet. For the first time, it is also translated for international users, and offers an offline logbook that can sync when you're connected to the internet.

What's new and different from the web site is that it watches live QSO activity across the whole of Club Log, checks it against what you personally still need, entity by entity and slot by slot. You can pin callsigns you're interested in and get alerts the moment they start up on the air, too.

The app will watch every QSO logged across the whole of Club Log as it happens, checking it against what you specifically need, and turns that into a live alerting tool.

Do I need a Club Log account to use the app?

Yes. The app signs in with the same username and password you already use at clublog.org, and reads and writes the same log and settings. You need to upload your logbook and keep it updated, to make the most of the Live Bands and Live Alerts tools. For most people, the best way to do that is to set up real time logging from your chosen logging software to Club Log. The app also includes a logbook tool for submitting QSOs, if you prefer.

Why does the app need a subscription?

The app is free for 7 days, so you can try it out. After that, it requires an annual subscription.

The app costs more to develop and operate than our donations model can cover. Watching every QSO logged across Club Log as it happens, matching it against what every DXer specifically needs, and pushing out an alert within a second or two is a new innovation. It keeps watching regardless of whether anyone is looking at their phone at that moment, which is a real and ongoing running cost. A single subscription is the straightforward way to keep it sustainable for those who use it.

How do subscriptions work?

Subscribing is annual, and billed and priced in the App Store or Google Play store. Pricing will be presented in your local currency, and renewals or cancellations are managed from your Apple ID or Google account settings like any other subscription.

Your country's price will be displayed by the App Store or Google Play at checkout, in your local currency. Pricing varies by region, which is why it isn't listed on this page.

Note: there are two platforms, Apple and Google. One subscription covers any number of devices on the same platform.

Club Log app translations

The Club Log app is available in 22 languages (English source + 21 translations). Ham-radio terminology is left in English, so that technical terminology is presented as expected. The system language of your device is used by default, or your can change it manually on the Settings page.
